Welcome to another week of new habits! This week, we’re diving into a habit that not only benefits your clients but also enhances your SEO.

Habit of the week:

Establish a Regular Blog Schedule

Set a regular blog schedule for the next quarter, six months, or for the rest of the year. Whatever you think you can manage. Blogging regularly on your website isn't just about keeping your audience engaged; it’s also a powerful tool for improving your website's SEO. It shows potential clients you're an active and knowledgeable designer.

Why it matters:

Consistent blogging helps to establish your authority and expertise in your field. It’s an opportunity to answer the questions you frequently get from clients and address common pain points. This relevance to your audience not only assists your clients but also signals to search engines that your content is valuable, thereby boosting your SEO for your own online presence.

Quick Start Guide:

  1. Identify topics that are frequently asked by clients or represent common challenges in your business.
  2. Decide on a realistic blogging frequency that fits your schedule - consistency is key, not quantity.
  3. Create a content calendar to plan and track your posts.
  4. Write and schedule your blog posts in advance to maintain a steady flow of content.
  5. Don't forget to share your posts on social media and in your client newsletters.

Cami's Tips

  • Quality over quantity: It's better to post less frequently with valuable content than to overwhelm your schedule with posts. I only blog once a month and haven't been as consistent as I should lately. I will be revisiting my goals along with you!
  • Use client interactions as inspiration: Conversations and questions from clients are a goldmine for relevant blog topics.
  • Don’t stress about length: Even short posts can be impactful if they provide useful information.  I aim for 1000 words on most blog posts.
  • Use ChatGPT, but don't forget to personalize and edit so it doesn't sound like ‘robot talk.'
  • Write in batches and schedule your posts in advance.

Routine Checkpoint:

Remember, the most important part is to be consistent with your posting schedule.

Start with a manageable goal, like one blog post every month, and then adjust as you find your rhythm. If you already post once-a-month, increase to twice a month, and so on.
