Habit of the week:

Wk44-Plan Your Holiday Messages

Organizing your holiday greetings early will make sure you don't miss anyone and allows you to take advantage of early deals and creative ideas. This habit will help you maintain strong relationships with your clients and end the year on a high note.

Why it matters:

Your holiday message is more than just a card or email—it reflects your appreciation for the year-long partnership with your clients. By planning your approach now, you can craft each thoughtful and personalized message, making your clients feel valued and respected.

Quick Start Guide:

  • Decide the Format: Will you send physical cards, emails, or both? Consider what would make the most impact.
  • Shop Early: Take advantage of sales from sites like minted.com for high-quality, unique cards at a discount.
  • List Your Clients: Compile a current list of all clients, including their mailing addresses in a csv file. If you know a client has moved, contact them to get their new address.
  • Choose a Service: If you're sending digital cards or managing a large list, consider services like Postable or Greenvelope. These offer elegant solutions and can handle mailing for you.
  • Think About Gifts: Decide if any clients should receive gifts and cards. Set a budget and scout for meaningful gifts early to avoid the rush.

Cami's Tips

  • Keep it Generic. New Year's cards are always a good catch-all to cover all holiday religious celebrations.
  • Personal Touch: Include a small personal note in each card or email. Mention a memorable moment or achievement from the year to show genuine appreciation.
  • Design Your Own: Canva is a good option, and if you have time, you can create your own look. It might be a little late for this now, but you can look ahead to next year and have a custom card designed by a professional graphic designer. While you're at it, get thank you cards made!
  • Schedule Sending: If you're using an email service or digital card delivery, schedule them for a specific date in advance. This ensures you won't forget during the busy season.

Routine Checkpoint:

Remember, by the end of November, aim to have all your cards ready to mail or scheduled to send.

This will give you peace of mind during December and let you focus more on enjoying the holidays and less on last-minute tasks.
